Europe’s first coffee brand to use all African beans

Our mission is to help coffee lovers discover new flavours of African coffee beans, whilst providing support for education in Africa. By using all Africa beans, our coffee is a more subtle and mellow tasting drink compared to those on the market.

This is great for those that appreciate the drink and want to enjoy the more complex and layered flavours that coffee can bring. All whilst knowing that every cup you enjoy directly helps the education system in Africa.

Background

Our coffee stands for something different.

The majority of coffee in the UK is made from a blend of African and South American coffee beans. The South American coffee beans have that traditional, bold “coffee” flavour we all know, whilst the African beans are more subtle in flavour but they have a lot of depth.

The reason why most brands blend their coffee is because African beans are more expensive due to them still being widely un-industrialised. We are going to make a brand solely using African beans, creating a more subtle coffee for people to enjoy the drink as they would a wine.

We craft the best-tasting coffee that people not only love the taste of but also love that the brand donates money to education charities in Africa. Education and enjoyment bring people closer together.

Our values are doing the right thing, flavour is everything, and life is to enjoy. We donate £1 to an African education charity for every pound of coffee we sell, responsibly source our coffee beans, are honest about the provenance of the coffee beans that are in our products, regularly review our supply chain to ensure we keep our carbon impact to a minimum, and look after our people – so they can better look after you. Flavour is always on top of the agenda when making our products, and we only employ the best people who know their craft and use state-of-the-art tech to create our products. We only source the best-tasting ingredients and make sure our products are as fresh as possible. We make sure that the products we make, we would love to drink ourselves, listen to our consumers’ feedback good or bad, and fine-tune our product accordingly. We promote that coffee is a time to enjoy with your loved ones, supporting building human connections. We make sure everyone in our products’ supply chain is treated fairly and with respect, talk about opportunities and solutions – not problems, go the extra mile to entertain our customers beyond the coffee itself, and make sure our work environment is a happy place to be.

Our product gains/pains include the Espresso Blend, which is predicted to make up 80% of our sales, and the speciality origins range, which will be the brand story that attracts our customers to buy our products over their current coffee brand. The Espresso Blend is familiar and has no stress, while the speciality origins range provides excitement, enjoyment, and discovery.
